Stephenie Meyer Mini-Challenge

I'm branching out in my mini-challenge hosting. I'm going for an author that's alive for a change. While many are already aware of the phenomenon that is Stephenie Meyer, a few of you may be feeling that you are the only one left out who still hasn't joined the Meyer bandwagon. Well, whether you're reading her books for the first time or the fiftieth, I'd like to invite you to join the Stephenie Meyer mini-challenge. Like previous mini-challenges, I'm asking participants to read two books. Feel free to read more than that.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer (available in August of 08)

The Host by Stephenie Meyer

I'll also encourage you to read these books though they're not technically by Meyer. They could count towards your count if you like.
A New Dawn: Your Favorite Authors On Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series by various authors but edited by Ellen Hopkins.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare

This mini-challenge will begin June 1, 2008 and end January 30, 2009. Sign up by leaving a comment. No blog is required. Audio books are fine. No reviews are required BUT I'd appreciate it if you did a follow-up comment saying what two books you read. And also if you liked them. IF you read the Twilight series, you can tell me if you're on Team Edward or Team Jacob.

I will be reading THE HOST for Becky's Online Reading Group this July. I invite you all to join me in that! I think it will be very fun. :) The schedule will be posted relatively soon. It will be up by mid-June at the latest.

Participants:

Becky of Becky's Book Reviews
Jennie of Biblio file
Kylee of Kylee's Book Blog
Alix of Not Enough Bookshelves
Darcie of The Reading Derby
Whitney of Paperback Writer
Marg from Reading Adventures
Sandy from Sandy's Reading Journal

This is a playlist of songs recommended by Stephenie Meyer to go along with the first three books of the Twilight series.

I'm in too.

I read Twilight earlier this year (before I started posting reviews). I want to read The Host for your "It's the End of the World" Challenge. My oldest has been after me to continue with the Twilight books.

I just finished The Host last night in the wee hours of the morning and was fortunate to go to Stephenie's book signing. I'm looking forward to the book discussion.I read the Twilight series before I started my blog and enjoyed them. I don't plan on rereading them this year. To many other books to read. Sounds like a great challenge that will push those reluctant readers into giving her a go.

I'm in. I've been hearing all kinds of stuff about the Twilight series, but I haven't read them yet.

I'm in I need to read the series again before the new book comes out. I will read The Host to if I have the time. I'm always on Edwards side, Jacob gets under my skin. I don't think that Jacob & her will ever mesh well as a couple so he should just back down & be happy with being friends.

Challenge Completed! I read all 5 of her books and absolutely loved them! I was/am definitely on Team Edward.

OK! I read all 4 Twilight books and will read The Host soon. I rather enjoyed them-- reviews will be on the blog this week.

I was team "Run Away and Find a Real Man who isn't a manipulative control freak" but I knew that wasn't going to happen. :)

I have read The Twilight Collection and The Host by Stephenie Meyer.
I loved these books and I plan to read any rumored additions to The Host.
If you enjoyed Stephenie Meyer's writing style, then I highly recommend you read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

Btw- Team Edward!

I just finished the 4 Twilight books. And loved them all, some more than others.

I'm definitely a Team Edward member. He's just so dreamy! :D

I read Twilight and New Moon... I have not picked up the other books, and hopefully I will. I am a bit disappointed that Edward is so reserved. I was expecting a bit more... but then again, I've only read 2! Who knows what will happen, huh?
